Everest View Luxury Heli Trek is a memorable sojourn that combines hiking in the Everest region, a helicopter ride to the base of the world’s highest peak, Everest Base Camp, and a flight back to Kathmandu.

Everest Luxury Heli Trek starts with a scenic flight to Lukla Airstrip. From Lukla, you take on this hike along the beautiful trail where you’re flanked by the raging Dudh Koshi River on one side and the evergreens on the other. There are plenty of teahouses along the way for food and accommodation hosted by Sherpas, the natives of the Everest region. You’ll get insight into their passion for mountaineering, mountain lifestyle, and faiths in Tibetan Buddhism along the journey.

This trek takes in the ultimate adventurous trek to Namche Town and the world’s renowned hotel at the highest altitude – Hotel Everest View, before a luxurious heli flight to the Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar, the vantage point for panoramic mountain views. You’ll catch your breath here upon seeing the close-up view of the Himalayan giants that include Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori, and many more peaks.

Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu (1,400 m)

Welcome to Nepal! Our airport representative will meet you at the Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to your hotel. You have the choice to take a rest at the hotel or stroll around the streets of Kathmandu. If you need to shop trekking gears or explore markets, Thamel is the preferred destination for travelers. Enjoy your first day in Kathmandu.

Day 2
Fly to Lukla (2,804 m), and Trek to Phakding (2,610 m)

In the morning, we take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Enjoy the aerial views of the snow-capped peaks before landing in the airstrip. We’ll meet our porters at Lukla, who’ll help us carry the luggage and bags during the trek.

From Lukla, we embark on our trekking journey in the beautiful Everest trail along the Dudh Koshi River. Upon reaching Cheplung village, you’ll see the beautiful Mt. Khumbila. Continuing on the trail, we arrive at Thado Koshi village, from where you can see the majestic Mt. Kusum Kangaru. Soon, we’ll get to Ghat village, and half an hour on the trail from here leads to our destination- Phakding village.

Note: Kathmandu to Lukla flight has been rerouted to nearby Manthali Airport, Ramechhap in the peak season (March, April, May, October, and November) due to congestion in Kathmandu airport. Manthali can be reached within a 5-6 hour drive from Kathmandu.

Day 3
Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,441 m)

After breakfast, we follow the trails enjoying the sights of Dudh Koshi River on the side. The trail rises gently up through forests filled with rhododendrons and magnolias, and after passing by the village of Monjo, you come across the gate of Sagarmatha National Park. Afterward, you walk through Jorsale village, then hike across the Khumbu River and cross a suspension bridge. Then begins the final ascent of Namche Bazaar. Along the way, you’re welcomed by the first view of Mt. Everest, and continuing on the trail leads to Namche Town.

Day 4
Acclimatization day and hike to Hotel Everest View (3,880 m)

An acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar. There are many activities to do in Namche, from exploring local markets to visiting nearby places. After breakfast, we pay a visit to lively Namche, where there are an array of shops, cafes, bakeries, hotels, and many more. We go for an acclimatization hike to Hotel Everest View, one of the highest placed hotels on the earth. From here, you can enjoy magnificent panoramic views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Tabuche, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kantega, and neighboring peaks.

En route, we visit Sagarmatha National Park Museum, where you can learn about the history of the Sherpas and Everest region. There is a statue of Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, the first person to summit Mt. Everest along with Sir Edmund Hillary, and the surrounding landscape vistas seen from the museum are spectacular. Enjoy your day and rejoice in the magnificent beauty of the Khumbu region.

Day 5
Heli Tours to Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar, and Back to Kathmandu (1,400m)

An incredible adventurous day in the Himalayas from Namche to Everest Base Camp in the helicopter flight. During the heli flight, you’ll enjoy the incredible vistas of the Himalayan giants and the surroundings. The base of the world’s tallest peak, Everest Base Camp, makes it the perfect vantage point for viewing mountain landscapes. In the spring, you’ll see the mountaineers setting their tented camp and preparing themselves for the summit at the Base Camp.

From there, we get to Kala Patthar, from where you are rewarded with panoramic views of Everest, Nuptse, Cholatse, Pumori, Lhotse, and associated peaks. This is the perfect ideal point for epic photographs and enjoying the close-up views of the snow-capped peaks lying at an elevation of 5,555 m. After spending 10-15 minutes there, we fly back to Kathmandu, overlooking the beautiful landscapes of the Everest region. Enjoy your last day in Kathmandu and celebrate your best moments in the Himalayas with your teammates.

Day 6
Final Departure
