Glimpse of Nepal Tour begins with the sightseeing tours around the major UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu: Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swayambhunath. Kathmandu is filled with sacred destinations dedicated to Hindu and Buddhist followers along with Durbar Squares which used to be the royal palace of ancient rulers of Nepal. There are temples, stupas, courtyards, narrow alleys, colorful festivals, lively people and much more to explore in Kathmandu.

Next, the tour takes you to beautiful Pokhara city which is popular for its strategic location and breathtaking natural beauty. Pokhara will invite you to enjoy boating in Fewa Lake, hiking to Sarangkot hill for breathtaking sunrise views, and of course sightseeing tours around Bindabasini Temple, Davis Falls, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave and Seti River Gorges. Afterwards, you’ll drive to Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautama Buddha. This historical place is the major pilgrimage site of Buddhist all around the globe. You’ll enjoy the pilgrimage tour around the religious and archaeological sites of Lumbini that includes monasteries, Mayadevi Temple, Ashoka Pillar, to name a few.

Afterwards, you’ll be moving on to Chitwan where you can enjoy jungle safari at Chitwan National Park and canoe ride at Rapti River. This lovely national park is a home to endangered one horned rhinoceros, bengal tiger, gharial crocodiles, hundreds of species of birds and mammals. Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to Nepal. Our airport representative will meet you at the Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to the hotel. You can visit our office for more information about the trip with our tour guides. Next, you can spend your free time wandering around the tourist district – Thamel. There are shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, and many more to explore along the streets of Kathmandu.

Day 2
Full day city tours of Kathmandu

Kathmandu encompasses a number of heritage sites that include historical temples, stupas, and ancient palaces. Today, we’ll embark on a city sightseeing tour around the major UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu Valley.

Pasupatinath Temple

Today, we pay a visit to Pashupatinath Temple located on the bank of holy Bagmati river. This important pilgrimage site is dedicated to Lord Shiva, where thousands of Hindu devotees all around the globe visit every year. The holy Bagmati River is also the cremation ghats of Hindus where the dead bodies are burned.

Boudhanath Stupa

Boudhanath Stupa is the largest stupa of Nepal. This sacred shrine is a major pilgrimage site of Tibetan Buddhism all around the world. This iconic stupa is decorated with colorful prayer flags, and there are prayer wheels around the stupa for circumambulations. Here, you can spot the Buddhism followers and monks chanting and praying in the stupa complex.

Kathmandu Durbar Square

Kathmandu Durbar Square consists of several temples, an old royal palace, monuments, and museums rich in its architecture. This rich cultural and religious heritage site is used to be the administrative center of the ancient kings of Nepal. Here, you can enjoy the activities and movement of people while sitting comfortably in the complex or nearby cafes or restaurants.

Swoyambhunath Stupa

Next, we pay a visit to Swayambhunath Temple, also known as Monkey Temple. This iconic stupa is a sacred pilgrimage site of both Hindus and Buddhist followers. From here, you can enjoy the scenic 360 views of Kathmandu Valley.

Day 3
Drive to Pokhara

Today, we drive to Pokhara, another popular tourist hub of Nepal. This scenic city is a gateway to Annapurna Base Camp Trek and Upper Mustang region. Along the journey, you’ll be enjoying the spectacular scenery of rivers, villages, hills, and mountains. Upon arriving in Pokhara, you can spend your time strolling around Lakeside street and Fewa Lake. From here, you can enjoy the superb views of Mt. Machhapuchhre and Annapurna ranges, Barahi Temple, White Stupa on the hilltop, paragliders jumping from Sarangkot, and beautiful surrounding landscapes.

Day 4
Morning drive to Sarangkot Hill and Full day sightseeing tour around Pokhara

Pokhara offers many interesting places to explore for the visitors. Up early, we travel to Sarangkot hill which is popular for panoramic Himalayan views. The sunrise views over the Annapurna mountains seen from the hill are truly spectacular. From here, you can enjoy the expansive views of Pokhara Valley and Fewa Lake. Also, this place is popular for adventurous activities like paragliding and ziplining. From here, we return back to the hotel for lunch and spend a full day sightseeing tour around Pokhara.

Bindabasini Temple

Bindabasini Temple is one of the most important religious sites of Hindus. This temple dedicated to Goddess Durga attracts visitors from all around the country. From the temple complex, you can enjoy the spectacular views of Annapurna ranges, Machhapuchhre, and associated peaks. Around the temple, you can explore the old markets of Pokhara city.

Davis Falls

Davis Falls is one of the major attractions of Pokhara. Here, you can behold the sights of a waterfall that vanished mysteriously under the ground. You can spot waterfalls splashing on the rocks which reappear at Gupteshwor Cave nearby there.

Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave

Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave is unique in its appearance as you can spot idols dedicated to Lord Shiva and other Hindu deities inside the cave. There are ice ridges and illuminating walls inside the cave, which attracts every visitor inside the cave.

Seti River Gorges

The Seti River origins from the Himalayas – Annapurna range, continue flowing through Pokhara city towards the plain Terai region. The views of Seti River that flow through deep, narrow gorges is truly attractive. Here, you can behold the sights of the river disappearing underground and reappearing at several places along the route.

Day 5
Drive to Lumbini and Sightseeing tours in Lumbini

Today, we drive to Lumbini from Pokhara in our tourist vehicle. Along the journey, you’ll notice the change in vegetation and landscapes as you travel from the hilly region towards the plain terai region of Nepal.

Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Nepal. This holy place attracts Buddhists and visitors from all around the world. Located in the Kapilvastu district of Nepal, this pilgrimage site consists of several stupas and monasteries showcasing the spectacular and diverse architecture from different countries. The most popular landmarks of Lumbini are Ashoka Pillar and Mayadevi Temple.

The Ashoka Pillar along with the inscription signifies the birthplace spot of Lord Buddha which was built by Indian Emperor Ashoka in 250 BC. Mayadevi Temple is the major temple in the complex which dates back 2200 years, where you can see the statue of Mayadevi giving birth to Gautama Buddha. There lies a sacred garden and a sacred pool nearby the temple. Likewise, you can meditate in the peaceful atmosphere of this sacred site.

Day 6
Drive to Chitwan, Jungle activities in the Chitwan National Park

In the morning, we drive to Chitwan from Lumbini. En route, behold the sights of green lush forests, villages, and downtowns. A few hours of scenic driving takes you to Chitwan National Park, the oldest National Park of Nepal. This UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Nepal is home to the endangered one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tiger, gharial crocodile, 540 species of birds, and many more. Once in Chitwan, your jungle safari begins where you can explore the diverse wildlife and vegetation in their natural habitat. Our jungle guide will share fascinating knowledge about wildlife and their habitat during the safari.

Next, you’ll pay a visit to an elephant breeding sanctuary where you can learn about the nature and habitat of the elephants. In the evening, you can enjoy the sunset views in the jungle seen from the bank of the Rapti River.

Day 7
Canoe Ride at Rapti River in the Morning and Drive back to Kathmandu

Up early, you’ll have a good time on a dugout canoe trip down the Rapti River. You’ll enjoy the peaceful ride while spotting the endangered gharial crocodiles, local birds, deers, rhino, and many more.

Next, you’ll be traveling back to Kathmandu from Chitwan, which will take about five hours. Along the journey, you’ll catch sight of Narayani River and Trishuli River flowing towards the plain along with the scenery of hills and villages. Once in Kathmandu, you can check into the hotel and have some rest. In the evening, you’ll have a farewell dinner with the team. Enjoy your night in vibrant Kathmandu.

Day 8
Final Departure

Our trip concludes today. Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. Our airport representative will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your final departure. Namaste and have a safe journey.
